Constant rocking?

Well, not constant. But when he is in the carseat of in the highchair, DS likes to throw his back against the back rest over and over and over! Sometimes he will just fall asleep doing that. My husband did this when he was little, so did every single male in his family...

I'm just wondering how normal this is? I don't suspect autism because DS has no symptoms at all. Is this just soothing or something? Sometimes it drives me nuts.

Re: Constant rocking?

Sounds like a *quirk* he picked up from dad! As long as he isn't hurting himself or there is nothing related to a medical issue going on, I would think he would grow out of it? Maybe mention it to the pedi at next visit if you are concerned.
