Blood lead level
DS had a routine blood test for lead a couple of weeks ago. It came back within the normal range with a level of 2.
Does everyone have some lead in their system? Should you have nothing?

Re: Blood lead level
Everyone has some lead in the their bodies, and that level seems pretty low, so I don't think you have anything to worry about (2 mcg/dL, right?). Even with the removal of lead paint from most homes, we're still exposed to small amounts of lead in the soil (often still contaminated by leaded gasoline) and water (from lead pipes), for example. As long as your son has low levels and no symptoms, I say its not a concern.

Re: Blood lead level
Thanks mama! I'm not worried or anything, just curious. When I looked online most sources said they don't worry until it's 10 or more.

Re: Blood lead level
My dd kept getting an elevated level when they pricked her toes or fingers, they drew it from her veins finally and it was fine...
