Re: Food Processors... What do you use yours for???

I use it to chop up veggies to hide in pasta sauce (carrots, celery, broccoli, onion, garlic, whatever needs to be used). It basically is a thick paste and I use about 1.5-2 cups of it to a jar of sauce and a pound of meat. I do the same for meatballs and meatloaf, and it makes them so juicy and flavorful.

I'm totally gonna use the trick for hiding veggies in smoothies! DS is not a fan of the veggies...

Its good for chopping nuts too, just do a couple quick pulses to get to the desired size.

I make my own laundry soap too and have been shredding it by hand. You don't notice the soap leaving any residual scent in the plastic bowl? I would love to be able to use mine for shredding soap!
Not that I notice. Ii figure I'd use soap to wash it so what's the difference.

OMGosh, I use my fp all the time. I chop veggies, make pesto, chop crackers if I need cracker crumbs, and 100 other things that I can't think of right now. I got mine from my dh's grandma and I never thought I'd use it, but it comes in so handy.
