healthier Mayo alternative?

I've been using Miracle Whip Free for sandwiches/broccoli salad/etc, but just noticed that it has a lot of high fructose corn syrup. <f> Any low-calorie, relatively healthy suggestions?

For creamy salads, you could subsitute low or fat free greek yogurt.

For sandwiches, I love homemade pesto on them. But I have never really likes mayo on sandwiches, I love ranch dressing on them though.

I've heard of using greek yogurt also...

We are a HUGE mayo family!
We really like the new Olive Oil kind.

What about cottage cheese or sour cream?

Have you thought about making your own mayo? I use this recipe:

I agree with the salad dressing suggestion for sandwiches. Low-fat ranch is a favorite on paninis in our house. I've also used barbecue sauce for chicken or turkey sandwiches.

Thanks, mamas!

I like salad dressing fine, but the low-fat, low-calorie ranch types I've bought so far also tend to have the high fructose corn syrup and/or a bunch of preservatives.... not that I don't use it anyway, but I was looking for a healthier alternative!

What about something like Annie's Organic or Newman's Own? I haven't looked at their labels, but I imagine they'd have better ingredients. And if you don't use a lot, the calories won't be too bad.

ETA: Or better yet, what about organic mayo? Or Nayonaise (I think that's what it's called). If you're okay with soy, it's made with that.

Re: healthier Mayo alternative?

we bought organic all natural for a while...but oye, that is expensive...then got hellmans regular...but it has some funky preservatives. now we buy lemmonaise which comes in a variety of flavors and is basically mayo but all natural, less fat, and yummy!!! It is not low fat though...at all! but good!

http://www.farawayfoods.com/lemonaise.html

our local health food store and meijer (normal grocery store) both carry it!
