Your favorite cloth wipes?

I'll be new to CDing in June and I want some cloth wipes for my growing stash. Any advice on the different fabrics - pros and cons? And brands or WAHMs you recommend? Thanks!

We love our Eli's Wipe-E's, they are made by katedanzer (a WAHM on here) They are the best. We love the flannel/velour and the flannel/terry

Re: Your favorite cloth wipes?

picasso tums! she's jpicasso on here and she has a hyena cart too http://hyenacart.com/PicassoTums/ i have the sherpa & velour ones and them, they're super soft and really well made oh and i think she has a 10% off code DSMAMA

ETA: i tried flannel and terry before settling on the sherpa and velour...flannel gets pilly and it bugs me and the terry ones got rough and crunchy after a while (we have hard water though so that might have had something to do with it) the velour/sherpa combo is perfect for us because the velour is nice and silky smooth for a quick peepee swipe and the sherpa is soft, but grabby enough for messes

Re: Your favorite cloth wipes?

I've tried several brands and like Eli's Wipe-e's and BuBuBebe the best. There are so many fabric combos and sizes available that I found just buying an assortment helped DH and I figure which best suits us. Lots of people like sherpa for a heavier-duty wiping needs (poop!) but I actually favor chenille. One thing I will suggest is asking if the fabric is prewashed before sewing/serging... it's definitely a sign of better construction. (Or it could just be me who is picky about the wipes lying flat and not curling at the edges!)

Love Quilter's Nappies. I have flannel/velour. Holds up great and some look brand new after 6 months. Perfect size too....Too bad because I would like to have some new ones. Shipping is fast and there are many cute prints to choose from.

Here is a link:

I love the ones I made. I just take flannel receiving blankets, cut them, stitch two layers together and there we go. Works for me and since I have so many from all 4 babies, I pretty much have all my wipes for free lol. I must say though, I have never tried any others so I am sure more people can chime in and give you more advice.

Re: Your favorite cloth wipes?

I have some hemp fleece ones from a WHAM mama here <Domino Pads>. They are fantastic. Beautiful serging with a softer side and a 'grippier' side that is still soft. I like hemp because of it's anti-bacterial properties. All my inserts for my pockets are also hemp.
