CornBread and Cast Iron Skillets...

Do you HAVE to make corn bread in a cast iron skillet?

I'm making Pinto Beans tonight and I'd planned to make cornbread with it.... but I only have a regular metal baking pan. Can I still make cornbread?

LOL- I think this is funny. I'm from the North, so metal is all I have used. I think it is cool that they use cast iron in the South. It will still bake just fine.

Thanks

I ended up using my metal pan. I lined it with tin foil, greasing the tin foil well, and then poured the mix right in.

It worked great

I live in the south, but I'm not from here... and this was my first time EVER making beans and cornbread myself.

I'm so proud LOL

Nothing better than some cornbread fried up in the oven! Yummy!

You can make it in metal, cast iron is better though!
