Strange foot rash that keeps growing *PIX*
Three months ago I took my 4 year old in for what I thought was ringworm. So did her DR, which prescribed ketoconazole cream. She's been on the cream since then, and within the last week it's gone from one big ring to 6 tiny ones. Being concerned I took her in to her pedi yesterday and a second opinion later, both doctors agreed that it is not ringworm and referred me to a dermatologist.
Since yesterday they've become a tad bit more engorged and a new lump has appeared right above her pinky toe. Here are A LOT of pictures..... I am very concerned and can't get her into a dermatologist until next week. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Does it bother DD? I would've said ringworm too but they're not all circles so I dunno!

Re: Strange foot rash that keeps growing *PIX*
did she get bit by something? is she allergic to the socks or shoes. did you try any new shoes or socks lately before this started?
my guess would be 1 it could be hand foot disease. 2 it could be a bug bite 3 an allergic reaction to something. I would definately if she is in pain take her to urgent care or the hospital. poor baby. |

Re: Strange foot rash that keeps growing *PIX*
i forgot to add i know this might sound crazy but something which has been used for centuries and i seen them pack wounds of patients with this in my hospital. they would pack the wounds with raw honey. since you cant get into the derm.
try some raw honey and wrap it lightly. also ice it. you can try hydrocortizone cream. maybe calydryl ( is it poising ivy or poisin oak?) maybe some aloe vera gel. hope she gets better soon. |

1. It is not hand foot and mouth disease. The DR confirmed that. 2. She did not get bitten by a bug unless it was a microscopic one. 3. If she is allergic to something no clue what it could be. Amber has a chemical free house and the only allergies issues that Grace has is seasonal ones. This started in December when our allergy counts were almost 0.

Re: Strange foot rash that keeps growing *PIX*
I see. beleive me i wasnt judging anyone. i feel so sad for her. My son sees the dermatologist because he has skin allergies. we had to go chemical free home so i make all of the cleaners. we had to change laundry dtergents so i got laundry balls. and we had to change the soaps lotions etc. so i make my own as well. and everything has been ok since. but one spot they might do a biopsy because they think it might be vertigo but im not sure until we go back to the dr in may. i will be thinking about the little tot.
do try the raw honey and try it for a while becuase its natural it takes time to work. i had seen patients which psychiatric issues who dug holes in their skin nothing worked to clean it out but raw honey. |
