Question Viva paper towel as liners?

I have a friend who has been using half a sheet of a Viva paper towel as a flushable liner. Just wondering if anyone else does this. And if it's safe for toilets and city sewers?

Doesn't seem like that would be safe to flush???

Viva is super thick. It's what we use (not for liners). We use mostly cloth products but keep a roll or two around for things that need to be thrown out.

If it helps at all one of my LO's had been using and flushing some for a few days and we had to call a plumber to fix it.

ETA: We have rice paper liners. You get a lot and they're not too expensive especially since you can wash and reuse them if they only get peed on.

Paper towel is not mean to be flushed. It's only a matter of time before the toilet plugs up.

And as a side note, I sure wouldn't want paper towel shoved into my panties....it doesn't seem like it would be that comfortable. I wouldn't subject my child to that. ouch!

Gosh, paper towel is sooooo uncomfortable! Why not just cut a rectangle of fleece and wash it? Not to mention I agree with the pp that it is just a matter of time before her plumbing revolts.

I don't think Viva paper towels would make good liners. Mabye she could get some rice paper liners.

As the wife of a plumber, my brain says "Don't flush them!" but my bank account says "Go ahead and flush...I'll see you soon!"

LOL! A conspiracy! Suggest poor CDing practices in order to earn yourself more CD fluff money. I like it!

uhhh don't use paper towels. That's a clog waiting to happen. Use rice paper liners, or scrap fleece material.
