Yarn info
My mom is a master with crochet needles and is going to make me a bunch of longies for the new babe. I have the pattern, but I am looking for some recommendations on yarn. What are some good brands? Where can I order? Does it matter if it is for knitting or crocheting?
Thanks! Rebecca |

Re: Yarn info
that's sewwt of your mama! Congrats on the new baby.
I usually like bulkier stuff for knitting than crocheting. For crocheting I like worsted weight. For her 1st pair, I'd recommend something inexpensive like cascade220, Paton's, Lion Wool, or Knit Picks Wool of the Andes on www.knitpicks.com. For little baby stuff, like nb and small, I'd recommend purewool at www.100purewool.com. I hear a lot of mamas like bfl and gaia merino for nb's too, I've just never used them. |
