Re: Calling all front loader washers!!!
I use a bit more bcs I tend to get that poo smell out of the dryer. I use about 3 tbsp. But if you are using that little and getting no stink, then it sounds like you are doing it right!!

Re: Calling all front loader washers!!!
Well I have only washed dipes twice lol. I do 4 rinses, so I wonder if could be using more. I feel like it's not too much, I'm so paranoid.

Re: Calling all front loader washers!!!
Does your washer have a sanitary option? That is what I use, I just set it and forget it (to borrow from Ronco) It does several hot/cold rinses and the hot is like 40 degrees over regular hot water. It takes about 2 hours. I think that with using only 1 tsp of detergent you are probably safe

Re: Calling all front loader washers!!!
It doesn't, I put it on the 140 degree heavy soil.

Re: Calling all front loader washers!!!
So far we are doing okay here with ours, but I'd rather a top loader with larger capacity. But the IDIOTS who built the little hole in the wall for the washer and dryer at this apartment didn't make it big enough for a regular sized washer & dryer.
And these were smaller so we bought them.

Re: Calling all front loader washers!!!
I feel your pain Aimee, the former owners of this house buile the laundry room around the w/d. So when it came to removing theirs (bcs I am in love with my w/d and didn't want their top loader set) we had to take off the laundry room door, and knock out a bunch of drywall bcs the door was waaaaaay too small to get the older set out or the newer set in. what a disaster!!

Re: Calling all front loader washers!!!
I have to chime in to say that I've had some problems with residue on my dipes since we got our front loader in September. I've stripped and stripped, and I thought I was using a small amount of detergent (maybe 2T?). But I just broke down and ordered Allen's Naturally, and I'm SO pleased. I bought a quart, which with shipping straight from Allen's was $18 (!), but since I only have to use 1/2T, it'll last more than 100 washes, and I'll keep it just for dipes.
I'd say stay with the 1T of soap, use an extra rinse (or 2!), and occassionally use vinegar in a rinse to strip. I also put a squirt of Dawn in once a week or so, to help prevent buildup. Thanks my 2cents worth and a plug for Allens
