Re: Do you thiink 15 months is too young

Can't remember when we started? Sometime quite a while back though?? I put cayden on it before baths and slowly he learned to start watching the pepe (which he calls doodoo, everything to do with the potty is doodoo! It's EWWWW, then some fake caughing, lol, then dooooodoooo) (Funny). Anyway, now he's 19mts and when he is put on it he goes, lol. I think the timing is fine if it's ok for you and him! Have fun!!

Re: Do you thiink 15 months is too young

I think it's totally fine to get out the potty and let her use it if she wants. If she decides she's not interested you can always put it away for awhile. I got a potty for my dd around 15 months. She mostly played with it for awhile and sat on it with her clothes on. She has asked to "go potty" several times so I put her on it and of course she does nothing, but I figure she'll catch on one day. I have started putting her on it right after lunch because that is when she takes her daily poop. We just read books for a few minutes and then she'll go. I think she's a long ways off from being potty trained, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

sounds like she is taking the first steps in learning how to go potty.
if she is interested and you have the time, why not start encouraging her!

Both my father and I were toilet trained by 1 YEAR. Not what I would do, but I guess that means it isnt impossible to learn early.

Re: Do you think 15 months is too young

If the child is showing interest its POSSIBLE. I never "trained" but had both of my girls out of diapers by 16 and 18 months. Just something they did on their own. my son took longer maybe 2 years... but could not stop peeing at night till age 5.

what helped us was the kids always wanted to be naked and the time they were wanting to use the potty. so the girls just wore a dress at home (no panties or dipe) and my son, well he just ran around butt naked! it was summer... and I personally could have cared less since we were at home or in the backyard. never any poo on the floor, but a few pees spots ; )

no. If your child is showing interest, it's not a bad thing.
My DD started to show interest, but she'd rather wear her potty chair as a hat!

I would encourage her since she seems interested, but not push her like you said. She may catch on and take right off!! And she might just be mimicking....but it can't hurt!
