Favorite insert with a pocket?

Hi Ladies,
I've been checking out all the options for pocket inserts for my fast wetter. I'm not sure if he's heavy just an all at once kind of guy. He's almost 13 months old. I've tried Cotton Babies, Joey Bunz and have added some hemp/fleece doublers that are helping tremendously. Wondering about the HH with the oval doublers. For some reason if I used hemp alone (JB) he wets through. I think I need to find a thin microfiber doubler to use with it to take the fast pee. OK, I'm rambling but I NEED ADVISE!!!

Re: Favorite insert with a pocket?

Through trial and error, I figured out that hemp doesn't absorb as quickly as microfiber. So I normally use a microfiber towel (from WalMart) folded in thirds and an additional hemp layer. Theoretically, the hemp would work best below the microfiber, but I generally don't think that much when I'm stuffing

A close friend of mine who uses FB's swears by the Wonderfull inserts. She has a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old in diapers and says she never has accidents with them.

I like the microterry inserts from nurtured family. I never have leaks with them in my FBs.

My ds is just like yours; either a heavy or all at once wetter.

How big are their bumms supposed to look?

Yesterday I tried to get a premium pf in a HH and it was just too big to even get on ds. Then when I did get the hh stuffed w/smaller pf and plastic pants over that, it seemed hard to even get his onsie around it.

I'm new to cding, but really tire of leaks! Oh, the laundry!!!

I highly recommend using something microfiber over a hemp insert. The microfiber absorbs quickly while the hemp absorbs more. You can use a microfiber towel or an insert over your joey bunz. This is our no fail insert option.

Re: Favorite insert with a pocket?

Great ideas Ladies. I have figured out by trial and error that we need microfiber and hemp. Just looking for a trim microfiber now. I'm currently using CB insert with a hemp babies doubler folded in half, behind the microfiber. It works, but it's pretty thick. I also made some cotton flannel doublers out of old indian prefold flannel diapers. They are trim and work too, not as good as hemp but close. It puts 8 extra layers of flannel in the wet zone.

Like Jack's Mom though I'm so tired of the wet clothes. I am finding the fit is key. Currently SNAP-EZ and GAD's fit the best.
Thank you!!!
