Re: Buffalo sauce?? Looking for an easy recipe or a good brand!

Just wanted to add my

DH loves wings - a friend of his told him about the recipe on the back of Franks, but heres the twist we add...seems to add a little more flavor..

Add a few dashes of tobasco AND (the secret ingredient) about a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar! Yummmmmmm!!

I agree with the deep frying them...thats the only way to go...otherwise, if you cook them in the oven they come out all mushy and not all crispy.

Buffalo Wild Wings has some great bottled sauces (same as they serve in their restaurant) I believe you can buy most of them off their website as well as in their restaurant.

hope that helps

Re: Buffalo sauce?? Looking for an easy recipe or a good brand!

We always use the recipe on the back of the Frank's Red Hot sauce too and love it. Since the kids eat their wings plain with no sauce at all, sometimes for Dh and I, I add a splash of Wild Turkey Bourbon to the sauce, super yummy and cuts the heat just a bit. You could add your favorite whiskey (Jack Daniels, Jim Beam etc) as an alternative flavor enhancer.

And I generally cook mine in the oven and they come out nice and crispy. i take a baking sheet, line it with aluminum foil (to make clean-up easier) set a rack on it (like for cooling cookies) and put the wings on there and bake them, turn them over halfway through and the skins get nice and crispy
