Lanolizing?

How much do I use? I have the Lansinoh cream (it's pure lanolin) that I want to use. I want to do 2 small soakers. Do I wash first? Do I need to melt it even though it's already soft? Help please! Thanks!

Good question- I'd love to hear some answers to this too since I'm just trying out wool myself. The only thing I know is to use about a half inch of the lansinoh for one cover. I don't know if you wash first or not though

Re: Lanolizing?

I lanolize my soakers and longies with lansinol Though I will admit, I stink at lanolizing lol But this is how I was told to do it:

I first *disolve* or melt about an 2 inch strip (I have a big sink and usually do 2 covers at once that's why I use so much) in hot water. Then I add the room temp water, place my wool in the water and work a little of the lanolin that's still floating around into the wool and let it soak for 10 mins. Then I gently squeeze out the excess water, lay it between to towels and roll it up to absorb some more water, then I lay it out to dry.

One thing I love about lanolizing, my hands are so soft when I'm done

The stuff I have is actually the tube instead of the stick. It's already liquid. I think I need to dissolve it first anyway though. I'm so nervous!
