Re: 2nd diaper pail for the bathroom?

I never thought about it but that is a really good idea to keep a small one in the bathroom.

I just keep the diaper pail in the bathroom since I always head to the bathroom to wash my hands after changing her dipe anyway.

Re: 2nd diaper pail for the bathroom?

DD's diaper pail is next to her changing table in her room. She's changed there nearly every single time (the exception being the occasional bathroom change or on the floor in the rec room downstairs) and pee diapers are thrown in right away... poop diapers are either dumped in the upstairs toilet and taken back to her room (it's two doors away). And if the diaper is really messy and requires spraying, then it goes downstairs to that bathroom, sprayed off and put into the hanging wetbag down there for that specific purpose.

The downstairs bathroom is right next to the laundry room, so I never forget.

Re: 2nd diaper pail for the bathroom?

In our 2 story house we've almost always used 2 pails- 1 up and 1 down. And we've tried to keep the pails as close to the bathroom as possible, if not in it. This was very necessary when we had 2 in dipes (for about 1.5 yrs). With only one in dipes and not having to change dipes as often, I have never minded going upstairs to deal with a yucky diaper and/or just a pee one. And when there's only been one pail (like there is now since my DD is out of dipes and DS is PLing) it's been in the upstairs laundry room, just a few doors away from the bathroom. I can easily go grab it and bring it to the bathroom if I'm worried about dripping along the hallway (before dunking/spraying in the toilet)
