Smile Dumb Fleece Question

I've read that a lot of mamas use fleece pants as a diaper cover. I have several pairs of pants for DS that look fleecy. How do I know if it is fleece? Everything I have says 100% polyester. Would they work the same? That is what my sleepsacks are made of and I've heard other mamas saying they were good too. Please advise.

Re: Dumb Fleece Question

I am pretty sure that is what fleece material used in diaper covers is... 100% poly. It should work for you just fine, though I have heard some mamas say fleece isn't quite as effective for overnight heavy use as it can wick. I will be interested to see what some other opinions are as I am not real experienced with fleece.

yep it has to be 100% poly fleece...you know the type of pants taht are that rough looking fleece like at old navy...cuz what you dont want is cotton mixed up in there youll have all sorts of wicking problems!!

Re: Dumb Fleece Question

A nice thick 100% polyester fleece like Old Navy performance fleece work amazing as a diaper cover and pants at the same time. They turn a fitted into an AIO. But, feety pajamas that are 100% poly are usually not enough to act as a cover since the material is a different weight. It is really thin like a chammois, kwim?

I have a bunch of fleece pants from Old Navy and the Gap and they work amazing! I love them.

Re: Dumb Fleece Question

I have some Carter's and Osh Kosh, but I have been afraid to try...afraid of ending up with wet pants. I will give them a try tomorrow and see how I like it. Thanks ladies.

Re: Dumb Fleece Question

It needs to be at least 1/8 of an inch thick or so--Carters jammies, too thin But yes, 100% poly is what you need and if it looks 'fleecy', it is. It's not the fact that it's fleece, but the fact that it's thick polyester that makes it work Have fun!
