New to this board...and have pump question

Hi everyone - So I am new here. Apparently I don't have enough posts to make a signature or post pics! So, I'm Heather and I am EBF'ing my 6 week old twin boys. I also have almost-7 year old twins, girls though!
So I am renting the hospital pump, but for $63 per month, I want to return it now. I feel like I have established a pretty good supply. However, I do want a pump. The one I am renting is the Ameda Elite.
If you know of a pump that compares to this one, please share! I need to buy one for sure, but don't have a clue as to which one I should get. It's ok if it's expensive, because anything's gotta be cheaper than paying $63 for the next 10 months or so!!
Thanks for reading and please share!!

If you don't plan on pumping all the time, then I would say the Avent Isis pump, which is a manual one is great. I used it for 10 months with my oldest son since he was lazy and I could never get him to latch on. It used it before every feeding for my son and then just fed him the milk I had just pumped.

I had a Pump In Style Advance from Medela and loved it! I had a single electric Medela pump at first. But it was a hassle using it on one side and then the other. Much easier being able to pump at the same time!

WIC gives out loaner pumps. The LC there said you don't have to be on WIC to talk to them, maybe you don't have to be on it to borrow one.....an idea.

I never had any luck pumping until I got a Medela Pump in Style. I got mine of ebay and replaced all the parts that touch the milk.

Sounds like Medela Pump in Style Advance is the popular choice here. I got mine gently used for $100 and have gotten so much mileage out of it already. I have used mine or 20 wks now and have no complaints.

To the OP, great job on b****** twins!

Re: New to this board...and have pump question

I bought mine from awaybabyessentials.com. Great prices! More than $100 off of retail, they are an authorized dealer so your warranty is good, price match and free shipping. I bought the Freestyle after reading tons of reviews. I wanted something portable and as good as the PISA. I haven't used it yet, but we will see. I tried renting a Lactina, but the local medical supply wasn't very helpful. Good luck with your choice! This might help you out: http://www.medelabreastfeedingus.com/product-selector
