I ordered a big fluffy mail package recently that was shipped Priority and had DC on it and was noted that it was delivered in my city and zip--but I never got it and I was home all day on the day it was supposedly delivered. Has anyone else had this experience? It makes me really nervous to by anything through the mail now, even though this is the first time it has happened. I asked the PO what would happen if I had insurance on it and they said nothing--if it said delivered then in their mind it was delivered.

They told me I could file a police report. I think I want to get sig conf. on all my packages from now on (but what if they business doesn't offer that?) It is so frustrating to know that the mail carrier could basically steal the package but still mark it as delivered and they are not held accountable.

I would definately ask the neighbors. I had a similar thing happen a month or so ago. The package was showing as delivered and I never got it. A few days later, my next door neighbor brought me a package, said he found it IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET and he picked it up and took it inside cuz we weren't home. They're very honest people, he'd just been working alot and hadn't had time to return the package. It could definately happen. Ask around, maybe someone has it.

Thanks--I hadn't thought of that. We live in a fairly new community (some of the houses aren't sold on our street)--so maybe I should try that and try looking around other yards?

That sucks. I had a package simply disappear, but never knew if it was delivered somewhere or not. The PO probably damaged the box so the address was unreadable, and it's sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

I would and you might even ask your mailperson to kindly check the mailboxes for the empty properties just in case it was accidentally put in a wrong box and nobody lives there?!

Just this week, I had a package that DC said it was delivered the day before and I didn't have it. I called the PO, they took my last name, address, del conf # & phone. It was on my doorstep the next morning.

try giving them a call. I expected to at least need to go in to fill out a form, but I didnt need to

I live in a big city too....

Ive had Canada Post do this to me QUITE a bit lately... they put down in the system that I received it, and two to four days later it shows up.

I have 2 packages of blocks that I made some mamas that should have been there long before today. I am very upset as the PO promised that they would be there... And here the mamas and I sit praying that they will show tomorrow.

im waiting on things that I paid Global Priority shipping on - and they haven't come in yet.
I think they shouldn't promise 4-7 business day delivery if they can't deliver....
