Re: Anyone had packages lost in the mail?

Yep

I had a package I ordered from a WAHM on Hyena Cart go missing with 3 prefolds and a shirt in it. I was going to just chalk it up to the stupid post and let it go but the fabulous WAHM actually redid my set for me. She is fantastic.

It hasn't slowed my buying at all. I figure sometimes it's going to happen. So much can go wrong from seller to buyer in the postal system. Especially given that I'm in Canada so it's coming through two postal systems.

Re: Anyone had packages lost in the mail?

How long ago was it supposedly delivered? I've noticed that sometimes it takes a day or to to get to me after the PO has it marked as delivered.

It's things like this, though, that make me think I need to start using something besides DC. Honestly, it doesn't seem to be that useful.

Re: Anyone had packages lost in the mail?

Well, mine was supposedly delivered on Dec. 15th which was over a week ago. I was hoping every day last week that it would show. I called the PO on Tuesday I finally heard back on Wednesday that my carrier said I get "a lot" of packages and he can't remember this specific one. I do not get that many packages (well--maybe 10 in the past 3-4 months) and I was just asking if he remembered actually delivering to my address--he might have gotten mixed up and put it in the wrong mailbox or he might have put it somewhere unusual (like my back door, etc).

Yep. It's happened to me a number of times. In fact, I currently have a package I'm hoping will still show up. We're at just almost three weeks now, though.

Update: The package came!!!! It was delivered to another house on our street--the carrier must have inverted the address numbers. I'm so happy!!!

Re: Anyone had packages lost in the mail?

I shipped something a few months ago that should have arrived in one day because it wasn't going far. I think it was marked as delivered even according to DC, but the post office said they "lost" it. I just got it back about two weeks ago, and the package was all beat up. I also shipped something months ago, and as far as I know it disappeared completely. It's frustrating because even though I bought DC, I couldn't prove that I had actually mailed it. I received a package in August that was mailed in April.

My Global Priority Mail packages have been taking 3 weeks to arrive, and something I shipped to Canada and should have taken a week also took 3 weeks.
