I swear some people say the stupidest stuff about babies. So here is our latest one..We were in a restaurant eating dinner the other night, SO, DD and me. It was DD's first time in a high chair out to eat...we were all excited. So the waiter had come by a few times already and taken our orders. We decided to go ahead and give DD her bottle and get her fed before we got our food. SO was feeding her and she was looking around and being her usual silly self. The waiter comes back by and asks if we needed refills and blah blah..then he said.."How old is she..3 weeks?" I about fell over. I told him she was 6 months. The waiter walked away and SO and I are both giving each other this WTH look. Had he not already seen DD sitting in a high chair..not to mention sitting up on her own in the high chair..not leaning. Did he not see that when SO was feeding her she was sitting up in his lap not being cradled like a small baby. Not to mention the fact that she's looking around and observing everything in the restaurant..even noticing the waiters presence at our table. My oh my..some people!! Either he know's NOTHING about babies or he has some super advanced ones in his family Feel free to add your own stupid comments from people!

lol!!! people are so funny. i've had things said like that once in a while, which always shocks me because everyone thinks ds2 is older than he is and then that one person who 'has never seen a baby before' thinks he is half his age. um....okay!

OK- so here is my story. 1 week after my c/s, I went to K-Mart with my mom b/c it was going to be our foster daughter's birthday and we needed to get her some gifts. So, I was holding my 1 WEEK OLD and a man behind me in line made the comment, wow just a little guy and you are already pregnant again Are you kidding me? My stomach was swollen from the section. That was about the most ridiculous thing ever.

Exactly!!! Thats a big jump in age lol

This is the same restaurant that always comments on DD. We had the same waitress 2 times in a row..the first time she said "Whoa she's a big baby" which totally **** me off because she was wrapped up in a blanket and you could only see her chubby cheeks. And the second time we had her she comment on how small DD was..um yeah she is small hence why I got mad the first time you called her big! lol

OMG I would have been mad. This is why for the first few months I didn't want to go out in public without DD..I was afraid someone would ask when I was due

Can you say noooo experience w/ babies, lol. Everyone keeps asking me if Gman 18m or 2ys because he's so tall, but he's about to turn 12m on Thursday.
Stupidest comments I ever got was my friends cousin kept calling Gman her/she; even though we told her 3 times he's a boy, gave her his name, and he was wearing a shirt that said "I'm the cool one, I'm the little brother". She still refers to Itty Bits as a girl.

Thankfully the dumbest things I have heard is people asking if my baby is a boy or a girl when she is dressed all in pink.

I can understand if they are in a neutral color but pink ?
My boys wore a few pink things while we were at home but never when we went out..

I ALWAYS get the "are they twins?' question. I understand now because they are older and a boy and a girl..but when they were infants in a double snap and go with matching blankets? I always wanted to say "no..they are 6 mons apart" and let them the think about that as i made my get away. hehe
