Prickley Pears How to use them

As a holiday tradition we buy fruits that are fun to try and not bought often. This year i bought 2 prickly pears but do not know how to eat them or fix them. Does anyone have any suggestions??

TIA

i'm not sure what a prickly pair is, does it happen to be red?
if so then those grow on the nopales plants and are really sweet, you just eat the insides, like peel the outter with a knife

We call them sabra. Put them in the fridge so they are cold, then cut the ends off, slice through the skin length wise and then just slip the skin off with your hand and slice into rounds. Clear as mud? There are a lot of seeds, but they are edible.
