Laundry - what would you do???

I need help and advice!

I just finished a box of country save (the only detergent I really trust, except for crunchy or simply clean).

I can't open a new big box, because we are moving at the end of the month so it will be packed up. While I wait for our stuff to arrive in Greece,I'll be staying with my family in Canada with the two kids.
Should I:

1) buy some CS samples to take with me to Canada and to use before I go
2) buy a bag of crunchy clean or simply clean? (which do you prefer?)
3) use the store stuff - I can get Planet at Krogers, which I hear is cd friendly. But I REALLY dont' want to risk buildup, but of course we're mainly use prefolds anyway (and SBish bamboo and bg organics for dd)
4) use one of the three options here, and then use a Canadian brand in Canada (anyone know any good ones)?

WWYD? I need detergent to last me the next three months!

I'd look for another Country Save user and offer to buy some of hers or go in on a purchase together; you'd save a lot of money over samples. Plus, maybe she'd like the savings of a big box, but doesn't need it to last forever!

I know you don't want to hear this, but I've used everything for detergent- even dreft- no one pass out! The only diapers I've had stink issues will is those made with microfiber, and that will happen no matter what detergent you use because microfiber is just awful!
I say use whatever is conveniently on hand! Just don't use too much and always do an extra rinse!

I vote buy a bag of crunchy clean. It will settle your mind and most likely last you the the time frame you need.

I'd just use baking soda and vinegar. That is what I have been using lately (usually use soapnuts but just haven't gotten them back out since we moved). No stink or build-up thus far.

I've used Planet since we started CDing 9 months ago. Occasionally I used Crunchy Clean or Simply Clean when I got samples. BUt I haven't had any build-up whatsoever with Planet.

I also use planet...I have for the past 7 months with no build up problems. And I have every type of diaper and every different fiber. I actually use it with all of my laundry.

I would go ask the Canandian ladies what they use.

I had dreadful build up with Simply Clean...

Re: Laundry - what would you do???

I didn't have good luck with crunchy clean, and that would be a really bad time to find out you have issues with a new detergent.

This shop sells sample sizes of your soap:

hmm, all good advice. I"ll ask the Canadians what they use. Maybe there is a cd friendly one there and I can just use planet here.

I'm worried just becuase when I used Tide during the hurricane it gave dd an awful rash burn, but it might be bec uase I was handwashing and didn't rinse well enough. And we had WICKED build up with Ecos.
