No Sew Diaper Cover (gasp!)

So I came to visit my mom a for a few weeks a few months ago and I thought since I was only staying for 3 wks or so, I wouldn't both packing my CDing stuff. Ha ha, 3 months later, I'm kinda wishing I had. Anyway, it kinda turns out to be a good thing because I made this!

It has no velcro, no elastic, no sewing! It's just one piece of fleece that ties on. I have no idea why I came acrost this idea, but I think it was something called an "Angel Wrap", and I just thought, Huh, I can do that. The body of the pattern is fern and fairies free diaper pattern, and I just added ties.

It doesn't gap like you'd think, although I did do one that has elastic on it. No, it's not the easiest thing, and my boy is already walking, so that might have somehting to do with the fit, but nothing has fallen out so that's great so far. ANyway, I just lay a folded up hand towel in it, and we're good for about an hour. Sure wish I had my prefolds! >.< Anyway, I was so proud of me, that i had to share. Plus, the trial dipe that I made out of scrap fabric has become our swim diaper, so I feel super thrifty ^.^
Props to me for finding a way to cloth diaper affordably away from home
($$ $5/yard for fleece, $5 for a 6 pk of hand towels$$)

ps. We've been watching Jungle Book. Do you think that had any influence on me?? lol

Update: They are not nap proof, fyi (oh what a mess!) lol, but then anyone who thinks one layer of fleece would be bulletproof is probably insane (oh wait, can anyone say motherhood??)

That's awesome!! I have some one-layer no-sew fleece covers, but they have to be pinned on.
