A friend of mine had to reboot her laptop. During the reboot, she installed some security updates. This came up -



Then - she clicked on More Information. This is what was said.

This website has been reported to contain the following threats: Malicious software threat: This site contains links to viruses or other software programs that can reveal personal information stored or typed on your computer to malicious persons.

Come on guys. This has been going on long enough. People are really growing tired of it. She can no longer come to this site and that makes her sad.

The viruses come & go. As long as you have decent protection on your machine you should be fine. ANY site that is popular will have to deal w/ viruses. Esp. one that is FREE to join!

This is a huge part of why I come here far less frequently now -- our laptop mysteriously blue screened and died during the start of all of this and I can't help but feel this was why. I know computers -- I run antivirus, spybot, etc scans frequently. I am informed as to what not to click on. Too big of a coincidence for me.

And no, it really isn't a problem with all big and/or free sites. I frequent many of them.

I had to pay $300 last time I had a DS related virus. I waited several months to come back on thinking you guys would clean stuff up. My laptop is acting loopy again. Thanks. Running Malware and anti-spyware as I type.
