Yep! I had mine professionally "cleaned" and it keeps reinstalling itself and reinfecting

I got more warnings and problems today and I am about to leave DS. I can't afford to keep replacing my computer and getting it fixed at $50 a pop.

I KNOW it's from DS because it's the only website I access from this computer.

One thing I noticed reading this thread is everyone having problems are not site supporters. So most likely it's a banner that non paid members are getting (seeing).

I've not had any problems this time or the last time DS had an 'infected' ad.

I have been having problems with it, and actually called my tech guys from work, and they looked around at the site, and it happened to them, and they told me that I definitely shouldn't use my work computer to look at DS anymore (they don't care what I use the computer for, I work at home, as long as the sites are safe), and that they would highly recommend me not using it on my home computer either. My work computer is loaded to the gills with virus/malware/spywear protection because of the nature of what I do (healthcare and patient files), so I know it isn't just crappy software that is letting this through.

one of the pages it directed me to was "virus doctor"
this is the same EXACT thing dh had on the desktop about a month ago (his wasnt from dh though)
but he is a computer IT at his company. so IMO, if he cant fix it, it cant be fixed. he tried several different "cures" and many, many different things. he even unplugged from the modem when he wasnt using it. it was very, very bad.
the thing is, IT ISNT A VIRUS. ITS A WORM. thats why you cant get rid of it. it "worms" its way into EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM thats installed on your system.
we had to completely reformat (or whatevery you call it) where you strip it completely down. like remove EVERYTHING. so we had to reinstall windows and everything. we lost everything that we had stored like pictures and important documents, outlook contacts. everything.

PLEASE BACKUP EVERYTHING WHILE YOU CAN!!! save your pics and important docs.

i probably will stay away for a while myself until its fixed

I got it running IE it wanted to direct me away from DS. It deleted a trojan virus called "Bloodhound.PD"

I am on a Mac. I use Firefox. And last night, for the first time, my computer blocked a page (a DS thread). So do not assume we are immune to all of this, though it's definitely rare.

I have Firefox, and it asked me if I wanted to leave to go to another page. Also, my Webroot Spysweeper software blocked the website and kept me on DS. but it is definitely here, because I clicked on the arrow to move to the next page on a thread and that's when it happened. Last time, I got it and had to take my computer in, because we weren't backing up. I'm glad that we are now, but I really don't want to reformat the whole hard drive again...

never mind- i forgot that i was remoting in to my work desktop since i can't use the hard drive on this laptop now due to the worm.

(oh, and embedded images are blocked at work which is why i can't see the pictures- duh!)
