Re: what to do with heavy cream?
1 big can diced tomatoes
however much heavy cream you like 1 pouch/can albacore tuna chopped black olives chopped onions capers salt pepper basil saute the onions add diced tomatoes in sauce pan. add everything else and let it heat up. serve it over pasta of your choice. If you don't like any of the ingredients on the list (with the exception of the tomatoes & cream), omit it and heat up what you do like. it's super yummy!!! |

Re: what to do with heavy cream?
Add it to spaghetti sauce in a pan and heat slowly, do not boil- makes a wonderful almost like pasta vodka sauce. Actually it IS pasta vodka without the vodka!!!

Re: what to do with heavy cream?
The bestest macaroni ever! Just add it to some melted Velveeta and then stir in cooked penne.
That's how they make it at Outback and the only kind of mac n cheese I like.

Re: what to do with heavy cream?
make some yummy fettuccini alfredo.
Here's my quick & dirty recipie for alfredo sauce: 1/2c butter 2/3c heavy cream 1.25c grated parmesan cheese about 1/4tsp salt dash peper Heat butter & cream in a saucepan untl the butter is melted. Add 1c parmesan cheese, salt & peper. Stir until sauce is blended and fairly smooth. Too make it even yummier...: In a separate pan sautee 1/2 diced onion, 1 clove of diced garlic. When onions are semi-translucent, add an 8oz pkg of sliced mushrooms. When mushrooms are almost fully cooked add about Two 6oz diced chicken breasts. In the summer I like to add fresh basil, sage & oregano from the garden into the mix...but in the winter I cheat and add a few tsps of Italian herbs. Check to see if there is excess water in the pan at the end (the mushrooms are usually good for this and frozen chicked breasts will do the same). Drain any exess water. Right before serving, mix sauteed chicken & mushroom with the alfredo sauce. Serve over fettuccini noodles. This is enough for 2-3 people IMO maybe 4 if you have a couple of sides. It's super simple once you've made it a few times. DH & I have at least every other week...now I'm hungry Lemme know if you have questions.
