What CAME first? Marriage or Baby?

A spinoff of the "who comes first" thread... wondering how many people got pregnant first and then married or married first and then pregnant... also there's an option if you're not married yet with kids.

It seems to me that the majority of people have been getting pregnant and then getting married. Personally, we got married and our first baby was due on our first anniversary (to the day).

When I got married I had a 4yr old from a previous relationship. We were also almost 8wks pregnant with our first who was planned.

got pregnant with 2 of my kids before I got married. I'm married again now and not pregnant, yet.

We were together for 6 years, got engaged and then I became pregnant. We got married afterwards. We hadn't planned on marrying for another year or two.

I had DS after we were married but if I didn't have to use fertility drugs we would have had a child b4 we got married.

I got engaged fall 2005; had DS 12/30/06; DD 09/13/08; married 04/25/09. :-)

DH had two when we got married (he was never married before) and had our first baby together a year and a half after we got married

I had a check in my purse for a deposit on the hall for our Halloween wedding the day I found out I was PG with DD 2 years ago. That was our 4th attempt to set a date. I was due on Oct 22nd, and I called off the wedding because I figured that attempting to have my first baby and my wedding within 10 days of each other MIGHT be a tad ambitious.

This coming Halloween is our 5th attempt to get married. Since everything else has gotten in the way - unexpected college acceptance, long bouts of unemployment, my mother's stroke, and a baby, I fully expect the world to come crashing to a halt sometime in the next four months. I won't believe that I'm actually getting married for real until it happens.

We both stayed pure until we were married so there was no question of when we would get pregnant. We tried not to get pregnant for the first year 'cause I was in grad school and didn't have insurance. I convinced DH to actually "try" the weekend of our first anniversary and TADA! DS was born nine months later.

We got married and had planned on waiting a few years before having children... BUT we ended up pregnant 6 weeks after the wedding, and DD was born 6 weeks before our first anniversary.
