![]() I voted never. That being said there are only a few occassions that I have. One of which being if there is a gross looking perv staring me down or my dh's male relatives are around, which is rare b/c we dont live around them. It makes me a tad uncomfortable esp. since dh's uncle is a pervo. Other than that- never. I have size DD boobs, but dont think I show hardly anything anyway. I show more in a low cut top than bfing.

Re: Do you use a nursing cover in public?
Um, yeah. I still nurse my 3.5 year old in public...I'm certainly not ashamed. Like I said, sometimes I wear a cover...but so my DD is less distracted and actually gets a feeding out of nursing.

Re: Do you use a nursing cover in public?
I do not use a cover, but DH is always trying to give me a blanket to cover DS up with, so I think some husbands are just accustomed to seeing it done that way. I always have an undershirt under a top layer and it acts as a perfect cover, only exposing what I need to expose for him to latch on, and then you can't see anything. The only time I "flop it out" is when I'm at home, or at the pool and I"m wearing just a swimsuit. And if I do need to expose the top part of my breast, I place a flat over the skin so that I'm not drawing unwanted attention from strangers glancing at a sea of exposed skin.
That said, when I brought DD home from the hospital 2.5 yrs ago, my dad was staying with us and I felt it necessary to use a cover at home. My mom was like "what are you doing?" and I told her that I didn't want to make dad uncomfortable seeing my boob and all. She laughed and told me that he did not mind, and I've never covered up at home since. I think sometimes people cover up for the sake of the comfort and respect of others around them, not because they are ashamed of nursing. I also have a good friend who would not have nursed if she didn't feel comfortable with her cover, (even at home!!) so I say whatever you need to feed your baby!

Re: Do you use a nursing cover in public?
I nursed 6 children including a set of twins and never used a nursing cover. There were occasions when I'd use a receiving blanket over my shoulder, but that was rare.

Re: Do you use a nursing cover in public?
Never. BF needs to be seen as natural and normal, not something to be hidden under a blanket.

Re: Do you use a nursing cover in public?
I usually do, especially since I spend a lot of time at sporting events and I guess I don't want to traumatize anyone else's children.
Otherwise, it depends on where we are and what I am wearing. I am with a lot of you, more concerned about showing my belly than my boob.
