almost embarassed to ask, but...

Does anyone else have a baby who got their "vampire teeth" before the top front ones? My ds looks like a redneck (I can say this, because I am one- have my teeth however) who got his front teeth knocked out!!! Someone else has to have this issue!! BTW our dentist has never seen it before and we are going in on the 21st to be "studied". Yippie.

I haven't personally, but one of my friends has a little girl 3 months younger than DD who got her top left canine tooth first. It was a little funny looking but her bottom two front teeth came in next. Still no top middles though!

This happened to my niece...her ped said it was completely normal. The other front teeth soon filled in and looked normal again.

hahaha, I had to check your SN to be sure you weren't a gf of mine, lol. Her son had just his 'vampire teeth' for the loooongest time. It was too funny but I know she was so relieved when he finally got the rest, lol.

This happened to me with my permanent teeth. My DC's dentist said that it's completely normal for teeth to come in 'out of order'. I've seen a baby with vampire teeth before.

OMG your DS doesn't need to be studied!!! This is more common than people think... my DS' teeth grew in the same way, a thread just like this was up recently and a lot of mamas chimed in

It's totally common, dd2's teeth came in like that! And, here she is in all her vampire adorableness (you can't see them all that well, but they are there!)

My YDD had vampire teeth for a while too. I thought it was really cute.

That's weird, it's pretty common. I mean, yes, most kids get their front two first, but it's not crazy to have a "vampire" kid. I think it's adorable! I kept hoping our kids would do it that way.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.
