oh wow
so i have lurked in here for a while. i have a friend who started ECing her dd at 4 months and has done well. i just thought it would be too much, i wouldnt be able to .. whatever. but last night i just kept thinking about it and reading in here and coming back and reading more. the more i read the more i felt silly for not even TRYING. so about ten min ago my lo (who turned 9months last week) was asleep on my lap. which he NEVER does. with no diaper cover on. i kept waiting for the warm wet to happen. he woke up and was upset. and dry.then he made one faint straining sound.. so i was thinking any second. so what the heck. dh is asleep on the couch so he wont see me being silly. and to the bathroom we go.. i sat him on the potty and he laughed and giggled. but nothing. i sat him on the edge of the tub and drizzled warm water on his parts.. nothing. then he started straining again, for real this time.back to the potty and he smiled at me and pooped all up in that potty. he stated laughing and waving. i called for dh to come see something.so he got to wipe his babys bum..... we did it.
then for the next 10 or 15 min he kept looking at me and laughing. i think he knows he did something new and good and he is gloating.he has NEVER been able to stand his dipe being poopy. so its like he was laughing saying , FINALLY!! |

Re: oh wow
I read about it and lurked entirely too long before trying it! What a great story! Isn't it so fun when the little ones get us to catch on
Congrats to you both.

Re: oh wow
That's awesome! DD hates going in her diaper, and when she does gets mad.
I love stories like yours! Babies are so much smarter than adults.

Re: oh wow
that's AWESOME! Usually at his age, babies think "eh, whatever" about letting you know and are fine going in their diapers. He REALLY wanted to you try EC!!!

Re: oh wow
Congratulations! I love that story. Isn't it great to make them happy.
I also lurked for a while and was grateful when we finally made the attempt. DD is also grateful because she hates poopy diapers. |

Re: oh wow
great job! Keep up the responsiveness, lol! People always think I "trained" my DS to use the potty, more like he "trained" me.
