Diaper Swappers

Okay, I have a potentially stupid question. I am nursing my boys, ages 22 months and 3 months. I only nurse my toddler about 2-3 times per day, usually, but he is sick so I'm nursing him on demand since he is not eating/drinking otherwise. He has diarrhea and fever.

I know nipples are self-cleansing and there's no reason to use soap, etc., but should I take any special precautions after nursing him before I let my 3 month old nurse on the same side? For today I've let my toddler nurse on one side and the baby on the other, but I was just wondering....

Personally I would just so you don't pass it on especially if baby lathces right after. JMO

That's a hard one. On one hand, both babies are being exposed anyway so why bother... And on the other hand, logic says to wipe off the breast. I would be more inclined to do the first and just expose the baby via breast to the germs and boost the immune system.
