Does anyone use wool after PL'ing?
Does anyone on here with PL'd children still use wool pants or short just because they like the look of them? I looooove the look of wool so much and just adore all of the properties of it, that I would consider still using it for a special few items for DD after she is pt'd. Anybody else or am I crazy? I can see that it would be difficult to make once the inseam starts getting longer though.

Knitting is knitting. Longer inseams aren't any harder, just takes a bit longer.

I don't see how having your pl'd child wear woolies is any different than the ones of us (me!) who have put them on over PUL covers or even sposies! They are just so cute! You would just need a little more streamlined fit because you wouldn't be covering a fluffy bum . . .

Re: Does anyone use wool after PL'ing?
My 3.5 yo DS wears wool often. He has 2 pairs of shorties in his summer stash, and I'll knit him two pairs of pants for the fall. I'll continue to make him wool pants for as long as he wants to wear them. But, I'm also transitioning to making him other things as well (hats, sweaters, etc.).

Longies no more b/c they both got to the point that they don't like wearing them. They will wear wool hats, sweaters, mittens.

Re: Does anyone use wool after PL'ing?
The only reason we don't is because my wee ones can't retie the drawstring. So we go to pull up shorts, etc so they can be more independent with pottying...and then they are pretty persistent about wanting to dress themselves by then as well and again with the drawstring issue, you know?
I miss my wool a TON...it just all went bye bye to a good home...

Re: Does anyone use wool after PL'ing?
My three year old and 5 year old both love to wear longies and shorties.
I agree it does take way longer to knit them up. I like to try hats, sweaters, and socks for them too.

Re: Does anyone use wool after PL'ing?
YEah!! Thanks for your responsed ladies!! You gave me hope that I can still enjoy wooly goodness after my dd is PT'd, I was in an early grieving stage, wondering what to do after PT'ing her. LOL! She is my last, and my first to CD so I didn't want to give up the woolies just yet! I am already having enough issues with the fact that she is growing up so fast on me
