DH's excitement was short-lived...

Ugh. I am so happy to be preggo, just found out this morning. But DH is now accusing me of "tricking him" by letting him <ahem> while I was ovulating. Saying that every other time I said "it's ok" meant it was safe to finish off together . However, we had been talking about how badly I wanted to get pregnant again and that I wanted to start trying. He was trying to hold me off since things have been so unsteady at work. I thought we had agreed to try but apparently he didn't. So now I "tricked him" and he is all PO'd and I am so sad and angry I don't even know what to do! Ugh.

just give him time to process. we just had an unexpected third blessing and for me to say that my husband did NOT want another baby would be the understatement of a lifetime. Our baby love arrived on Friday and DH loves him, he even named him. He loves the newbie. I was scared he wouldn't. I was scared right up until he held the baby in the delivery room...then i knew it was going to be okay..

I hope he comes round. It can be tough on our husbands at the beginning. I know mine was really scared this time and is now coming around and starting to plan things for the baby. Luckily it did not take him too long. I hope for the same for you.

Congrats Cheryl! What a beautiful story.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Like PP said, your dh will most likely come around. He is probably worried about being the provider in a tough economy so maybe he is not knowing how to word it. Don't hate me but, did you 'trick' him? It's rhetorical.

I hope he comes around soon and can be supportive.

I am really trying not to laugh at him. He knows that the pull out method isn't 100% right? So even if you hadn't OK'd him, it could have happened. Hopefully he comes around soon.

I don't hate you jnicole I asked myself that question all night last night and I kept coming up with No! I honestly thought we were on the same page about starting to try, which took us 4 months before, and I honestly thought he was pretty in tune with my cycle which is quite regular. I think it is fear that is making him lash out, but it just hurts.

I'm sorry, Mama I don't think there's ever 'the perfect' time to get pregnant, so sometimes it's hard to accept it when you are worried about other things in life. But I'm sure he will come around quickly.
