I need measurement help!! What are your average 2 year old's measurement?

I am ordering DS a fleece set and by golly when I tried to take his measurements last night you would've thought it was a torture device. Geez!

DS has a pair of Just Ducky wool shorties that fit great in a size 2T...they actually fit just a wee bit big but I like that style. The rise is 20" which seems reasonable for an average 2 year old. (The rise was the hardest measurement for me to take last night.)

I don't know what the waist or inseam on those shorties are but I think I got a decent waist measurement of 20" and inseam of 3.5".

So do these measurements sound about right? 20" rise, 20" waist and 3.5" inseam?? He is a pretty average sized baby - maybe a wee bit on the tall side but hoovers around 50% for weight.

I'd probably just measure a pair of pants that fit him perfectly and go from there.

Children are shaped so uniquely that guessing probably isn't the best way.

Since you asked - my DD turned 2 yesterday and her measurements are:

Weight: 28 lbs. 15 oz.
Height: 3 ft. 1 in.
Waist: 17.5 in.
Rise: 16 in., with a diaper on (she's on the middle setting of all OS diapers) and when ordering fleece garments, I add about 4 in.
Thigh: 10 in.
Inseam: 13 in.
