Head coverings for cancer patients?

Hey mamas, my mil has had her mastectomy and is in recovery for now but she'll begin her chemo very soon. More than the loss of her breast, she's dreading the hair loss. She's been growing her hair out for years and it grows very slow. I'm investigating how I can donate my hair toward getting her a wig but I'd love ideas and patterns for pretty hats, head coverings and scarves to sew/crochet/knit her. I've started searching but it's all very overwhelming and I'd love it if you could just link me to your favorites. thank you!

These are all knit hats. I've not made any of these, but they look simple enough and pretty too. Best wishes!

When my mom was doing chemo, she did not loose all her hair and she looked like a White Don King (thats how we deal with humor) but she found a lot of hats, and clothing for that matter not to be comfy to wear

She was in a dew rag a lot of time, or a minkee lined bucket hat she made.

Liz I saw a pattern for these just yesterday. I'll see if I can remember where I saw it.
