Re: Would this have been a werido thing to do? lol

I'm not really one for passing down names to the immediate generation, but I certainly don't think it's weird. Just a personal preference. I've heard of daughters being named after their mothers and I think that is sweet.

We used my grandparents names in naming two of ours and I like how there is the family connection without us calling a name and two people in the house going "what?" LOL

Oh god please don't use it! I really hate having such a "cutsy," "girly" name, and it's not even a good girly name, something classic like Katherine or Francesa. I hate hate hate the cutsy K name trend, all the Kaylee, Kayla, Karlie, Katie, Katelyn, Kyla, Kylee Blaaaaah! You might as well just name your daughter Cuitsy!

I hate my name, so I'd never pass it on. BUt if I had a cool name, I would consider it. Why not? Someone somewhere is always going to have the same name as you And yes, I know another Whilder!

I think that's awsome! If I had a sweet name like Capitola (Or Whilder ) I could so justify doing that

I didn't really like my name growing up, so I couldn't see giving any of my kids the name...besides, with my kiddos, each one of their names is theirs, they own it, and it suits them!

Your daughters name is definatly a nice one! i've not heard it before
