Re: When did you start your period while you were breastfeeding??

DS - 10 months - 32 when he was born
DD - 12 months - 33 when she was born

I've had 3 periods in the past 3 1/2 years. I pumped some and did a tiny bit of formula with both (mostly DS)

Re: When did you start your period while you were breastfeeding??

It took me about 3 months after I was done nursing DS#1 to have a cycle.
DS#2 I had one cycle at exactly 1 year and was pregnant with #3 right after that.
DS #3 I had one at 13 months, and now haven't had one in 2+ months.

My BFF here didn't have one for almost 3 years with her second. And almost 3 years with her first.

Re: When did you start your period while you were breastfeeding??

First pp af when dd was 3 months old
Second @ 4 1/2 months
Third @ 7 1/2 months
Fourth @ 8 1/2 months

She has never had a bottle and doesn't sttn, but she does take a pacifier since she refuses to comfort nurse no matter how much I offer it. I was 23 when she was born and am 24 now.

Re: When did you start your period while you were breastfeeding??

With dd (the only one nursed so far more than a few weeks) I finally got my period back a little over a month after I weaned her at approx 14 month. By the next month I was pregnant again , which is partially why I wanted to wean dd.

Re: When did you start your period while you were breastfeeding??

I have three boys that have been or are breastfed, with my first I nursed for 15 mos, but around 9 mos I started to get the itch for another babe. So I dropped one feeding and started right away. Three periods later I was pregnant. With #2 I was working part-time and I pumping while at work. I got kind of lazy about pumping and started my period again at 9 mos. I was pregnant within a couple weeks. Now I am currently nursing #3, he is almost 4 mos and no period yet. I do have a plan for TTC in April/May so I will likely drop a feeding again when the time comes.

6 weeks with all 3, all with EBF round the clock, less than every 4 hours.
<sigh>
My body wants to be way too fertile!
(and DS1 and DS2 "oops" are 13.5 months apart to prove it)

Re: When did you start your period while you were breastfeeding??

Had her when I was 29. Got it back at 4 months pp to the day despite nursing exclusively & on demand.

I will be 31 when this baby is born and although I'm hoping af will hold off longer this time I don't expect it to unfortunately.
