Infant, Premium...what are the weight ranges? Not sure which to get for 11.25 lb, 11w/o DD

Most people that I know that use/used CPFs switched over around 5-6 months. We did not since our DD was so chubby (11lb. @ 6-8 weeks, 20lb. @ 4 months, 25lb. @ 6 months) I couldn't stuff the premium in my Bummi cover! Well, I could, but then she couldn't move.

We stuck to an infant CPF and a thin doubler/booster until she was a year or so, then we switched to pockets.

If you are using wool as a cover, this would be less of an issue I would imagine as it seems more giving/stretchable.

The general "recommendation" is infant prefolds will fit well until 15 lbs and/or 6 months. I still use them on my 22 lb 15 month DD for trim daytime use, though so you can certainly get infant sizes..

I think you'll find the premiums will be really bulky at this point, but you might want a few for long naps/overnight.

A commonly overlooked option is the regular sized prefolds - they are bigger - as big as the premiums, so designed to go around a child until around 30 -ish lbs or potty training- but not as thick as the premuims so they don't seem as bulky. They absorb more than the infant prefolds overall and will give you more room to grow so to speak..

Definitely! Yeah, bulky bothers me, so I think I'll get some regular and premium and should be set for awhile.

Seems we had to switch to premium PF's around 6 months of age, but my boys were chunky monkeys too, but the good thing is at 23 months old they're still wearing the premium size
