Teary. Our son has to move out of his crib!
I know it's silly, but he's our last baby and it is making me so sad. He is very ready, trying to climb out so I know it's best, but oh where did the time go?

Re: Teary. Our son has to move out of his crib!
My SIL put a crib tent over her daughters crib and it worked really well...if you wanted to keep him in the crib.

Re: Teary. Our son has to move out of his crib!
My DS is going to be 2 on the 31st and still in his crib. I put it on the very bottom setting which is like 6 inches off the ground so he cant climb out. My first son was in a twin bed at 18 1/2 months cause he refused to sleep in a crib from birth, he would cry non stop. But this guy I am going to keep in there as long as I can.
I tried to put his crib into a day bed and he wouldnt take his naps since he wasnt "stuck" in the crib. I would hear him laughing and playing with his toys over the monitor. I would open the door and he would drop his toys and run into bed and pretend he was asleep. LOL So its ganna be crib for a lot longer.

It is hard, I'm having trouble with all the "firsts" around here with Emidio. He's our last as well. Mama!

Re: Teary. Our son has to move out of his crib!
Thank you Mamas. I know the move could cost me his naps.... but I'm even more afraid of the possiblity of a broken collar bone or worse.... He's very tall for his age, already 36" at 20 months.
Our daughter happily slept in her crib until she was 3! We had a twin set up for months and asked her if she wanted to sleep there and it was always, no. For some reason each step away from baby hood is harder this time..... Hope I'm doing the right thing.

Re: Teary. Our son has to move out of his crib!
I did think about that. He hate's confinement, so that one worries me. He's so good about going right to sleep right now. It's just naps where he will sometimes clown around for a while. I watched him the other day putting his leg up and over the rail.... So confused!
