Question Yarn & what to do?

I came across this listing on Hyena cart and was wondering what could I do with this?

6 ply Cashmere Yarn
Each skein of Plumknit 6 ply Cashmere is 50 grams (just shy of 2 ounces) and 150 yards.

I would definately love to get this but don't know exactly how much I would need to do anything. I was thinking maybe some Large longies or shorties. How much would I need? If this isn't enough how much would I need for a hat to fit a 12 month old?

LMK. TIA

you'd probably need about 10-12oz of that yarn for large longies, I could be wrong cause I'm new to knitting, but that's not a lot of yardage. I'd say maybe 4-6oz depending on the kind of hat.

I was thinking one of those hats with the strings that tie around your face. I can't remember what they are called. Its for my LO.

They aren't selling that much yarn for longies and I would definately hate to have to constantly stalk hyena cart for yarn. I don't know if I should buy the yarn or find someone who will make me the longies and hat from their own yarn. If I buy the yarn it will cost around $90 just for about 5-6 oz and then I'll have to pay for someone to knit it because I cannot knit. ughh I am so frustrated now.

Were you really just wanting cashmere, that's really the only reason it's so expensive, but there is a ton of other yarn for longies that's a lot cheaper, I'd totally help you find some I love looking at yarn.

ETA: Okay I am an idiot, I was thinking it was 150yds per 4oz, even though you totally had it right there that it was 2oz. I'm sorry mama, so you wouldn't need quite that much, about 6-8oz depending your kiddos measurements.

I really don't know the difference between the yarns the thing is that the yarn i am looking at is in the colorway I need to match my son's mint chocolate zoo outfit. It's the only one I have been able to find and I'm not too good at dyeing either. I guess I'll give up for now and just wait a while longer. Thanks anyway.

There are a bunch of dyers that custom dye and will match if you send them a swatch. Also there are a bunch of mamas that do a mint choco colorway. Let me find some link for you. BRB

Amy at Alligator Knits has Mint Choco and Elliot that both might match in her album here:

and this mama did two awesome custom colorways for me at the beginning of the summer so she could totally dye to match for you:
