Re: What we wish you knew about pregnancy loss
I have the best dh in the world and he still doesn't get it. We very nearly lost our 2nd baby and while I was bleeding on the couch he was like, "It's ok, we'll try again next month."
He really is the BEST dh in the world, but I remember that and feel absolutely sick to my stomach. Hugs to all you mamas!

Re: What we wish you knew about pregnancy loss
Thank you so much for sharing this.....made me cry all over again, but it is so true and I wish my friends and coworkers could have read this before I had my mc-they were guilty of the "do nots" and it didn't help they were all preggo or just had kids-I think they didn't know how to respond....gosh I'm rambling....thank you

Re: What we wish you knew about pregnancy loss
I have had 8 pregnancy's and 6 living babies the two in heaven will never be forgotten. this was an awesome post along with all the others thanks. all the don'ts are the very reason I never tell anyone but Dh that i am preggo. although we never had a chance to name our precious babies we have decided whomever gets to heaven first of the 8 of us here gets to name our babies. I just 2 months ago lost our 8th baby. and you wouldnt believe my worst experience was with my MIL ugh. she thinks we can't afford what we have anyways. I told her in NO UNCERTAIN terms we were going to have another baby!

Re: What we wish you knew about pregnancy loss
Thank you for this post. I just copied and emailed to a friend who's best friend lost her second baby (this one at 8 months pregnant). My friend was at a loss of what to say or do... It really helped.

Re: What we wish you knew about pregnancy loss
So true! I wish more people would just learn to listen, rather than feel they need to say something to somehow make it "better" I almost didn't want to tell anyone about our second loss a month ago, because I wasn't ready for the comments.

Re: What we wish you knew about pregnancy loss
We lost our daughter at 30 weeks along, 5 years ago. It still hurts to this day. I have heard most of the statements on the list, and they all hurt. The worst was from my mother in law. The first Mother's Day after our baby died, she told me I didn't have a right to feel bad on that day because I wasn't really a mother. Her reasoning was that my baby wasn't alive, so she was never "really" born. Hello ... I went through 46 hours of labor. She was born.
