Taking son to specialist - asking for prayers
My youngest has had ongoing digestive problems, and we've gone to pretty drastic lengths to try to get things under control. While we can manage his symptoms enough to have an almost-normal family life, the problem remains unresolved.
This morning he has an appt with a pediatric GI at Children's Hosp. Please pray that the dr will listen and be lead down the right path to a correct diagnosis. I KNOW there is something wrong. At this point, my worst fear is to not find out what the problem is and then we are really on our own with it (which just isn't working!). Although I'm trying to have a positive outlook, I honestly feel very discouraged. My oldest had digestive issues also (but different) and was never correctly diagnosed. Our previous experience at the hosp was very negative, and I am afraid of re-living that and not getting the help that ds2 needs. Thank you for your prayers!! It really means a lot!!

Re: Taking son to specialist - asking for prayers
THANK YOU all for your prayers!! The appointment went even better than my imagined "best case scenario". I was so prepared to state my case, argue for my son, and get stern with the dr. He listened and really took his time. He didn't need any convincing that there is a problem, and he's ordered a series of tests to try to find out what is going on. All told, it will be a 2 month process, but hopefully we'll get the answers we need. PTL!

I hope you get the answers you need and that your baby gets better soon. BTDT with my son...It is difficult, I know (my son has been through those tests too).
