PLEASE HELP!

If it is happening regularly in the evenings, it may be colic. My son did something similar - no screaming, but he would whine and fuss from about 6-8pm every night. Started just before 2 months, and stopped suddenly when he was almost 4 months. While it seemed there was little we could do to calm him completely, using a sling, walking with him, and singing seemed to help to some degree. I wouldn't have been comfortable with just letting him cry, either. From talking with other moms, it seemed like this was a somewhat common problem in the first 4 months, though certainly very frustrating.
