OT: is this a food allergy or something else??

DS drank a large amount of fluid in a very short time, then threw up. I assumed it was from drinking too much too fast. But he is still throwing up hours later and hasn't had anything else to eat or drink. I also noticed a small rash under his chin and in the creases around his groin (not a diaper rash) and it's not bumps like hives, just large red patches. He does not have a fever at all, in fact he's actually a little cold. I will have to ask the sitter what he ate today and if it was different than normal. He's home with me tomorrow, so I can watch him closely, but was wondering if anyone had any insight. TIA

It definitely could be food related.

The midwife considers the miracle of childbirth as normal, and leaves it alone unless there's trouble. The obstetrician normally sees childbirth as trouble. If he leaves it alone, it's a miracle.-Sheila Stubbs
