Pleeeeeeeeze don't make me have to reformat my hard drive AGAIN!

Twice I have had rogue spyware pop-ups today. I immediately turned my computer off without touching a thing, turned my router off and then rebooted everything.

I think I'm avoiding the worm this way for now

All I know is when it has gotten me on here, it's gotten me bad

Pleeeeeeeeze don't get me again!

Ohhhh, I had a pop up as well yesterday that started some weird spyware thing! Is it bad to hit "cancel", and better to just shut the puter off instead?

I think it might be. In the past, I've closed it or canceled it and it still got me. This time I'm powering off with the power button and so far I think I'm OK.

Maybe someone else can pipe in and let me know if there is any logic behind my method?

This happened to me as well. I love this site but hate that this is the third time I've had virus pop-ups.

ITs happened to me TWICE in the past three days.

Its annoying.. and it sucks that the owners of the site dont do anything about it

It has happened to me twice in the past two days as well! ONLY on this site. I only have one browser up at a time.

Have all of you who use a router password protected it and taken the steps to ensure your router is safe from invaders?

there is just from the word invaders - not cause I think any of the problems you are having are funny.)
