Re: A rash that looks like 2nd degree sunburn?

I have read lots of posts from mamas whose DCs had bad burns from Charlie's and/or Sportwash. I'd definitely go with Dawn! If it is yeast, I'd definitely recommend Gentian Violet. It will stain your dipes and your baby's bits will be purple for a few days, but it really helps IME. I hope your little one is better soon! I hate fighting nasty rashes!!

Try eucerin. My dd got a rash like this w/o the blisters when she tried strawberries and that cleared it up fast.

Easy on the TTO lots of little ones are sensitive. Mine can't handle it. BTW Northern Essence has some great butt goo if you're in need.

Sounds like detergent burn to me. Stop using the diapers until you can get them completely stripped.

we had this kind of rash too, it was painful. I gave Nolan frequent baths & washed him good with each change with a product called D.A.G. by Meyer

Its a great natural drug-free topical antiseptic that I wouldn't be without. It contains Purified Water, Chondrus Crispus (carrageenan extract) phenolated iodine, and boric acid. A large 16 oz. bottle is only $5.80 - it's miracle stuff that you can use for almost everything topical!!

We had this will dd#1 after using Fuzzibunz diapers. Come to find she was very allergic to microfleece.

Only other thing I can think, is the same as the others, a detergent allergy.

Weleda Calendula cream, or diaper care cream, will help heal it up. It's the only thing I use on dd anymore. We haven't had any more rash issues since I've been washing with dawn, and the occasional bit of bleach.
Hope it clears up soon!

Re: A rash that looks like 2nd degree sunburn?

My oldest has super sensitive skin and we battled diaper rash until she was in cloth, and still, she got it occasionally. We've tried *every* kind of butt cream and lotion out there, I swear. Nothing worked. Ever. Those same creams have just been semi-effective on my other two. Just recently I discovered a TTO and Lavender FREE bum stick at www.northernessence.com and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! My oldest has long since been out of diapers, but I use it on her eczema patches and on my others' bums and it works so wonderfully.
