Re: Losing weight

finger pricking was never going to be part of my treatment, even if I had gone to the specialist. It was just for diet.

Re: Losing weight

but they would have been doing something in their office to mointor your levels. If not finger pricking probably having you come in routine to do a draw to check your levels. They wouldn't just "assume" the diet is working. And if they were going to then they're obviously not very smart. I'd definatly enforce getting the machine to do it. Rather they would have or not. If you're dr's not going to retest you then you need the machine at the very least because someone needs to be monitoring the levels or someone could wind up regretting it later.

Re: Losing weight

Tashauna diet changes a lot. But if you have gd and they said they only wanted you to change your diet. I would be getting a new dr. As laci said they would need to monitor it. Before I felt really yucky. And when my diet changed and they had me start checking it. I can tell surely when I need to eat something. Or when its a little high. Believe me no one has the time to sit in the dr office or a class. But its important for the baby. There can be huge problems after the baby is born to the baby. And that's what they are trying to prevent. Like I said my ds4 I do believe I had it and so does the peri. Obviously my ob as well.I had him in another state. And he was in the nicu and we lost out on some big time bonding. Good luck with everything
Love is compromise. Its accepting that both of you are diffrent. And learning to love the uniqueness of each other. Its learning to love those things which drive you nuts, and accepting them and not trying to change someone to how you want them to be.
