This happened to me yesterday too. I am fully protected, but was warned that my computer was under attack. Not too fun.

No, it has been on-going off and on for over a year or so... you can search "Ask The Pros" or google.

I knew it felt like a long time, didn't realize it had been that long!

I'd recommend getting Avast instead of McAfee. McAfee is junk (according my significant other, who is an IT security manager/professional) and didn't work any of the times that a virus was found within my system. Avast works great and another she'd recommend is Kaspersky (I think that's how you spell it).

I just reloaded Firefox, and so far, no problems. Before i reloaded it, my browser was crashing every time i got on this site, and the fake virus scan came up constantly.

Re: Trojan attack, hello? Why won't ya'll fix this?

I have been hit several times in the last few days on DS, a total of 6 times yesterday! I have mcafee as well, but judging from what I'm hearing here from memebers may have to talk with DH about dumping mcafee and getting another virus scan! IDK, I'm running mcafee right now to see if it will detect anything. It is horribly horribly annoying to have this keep popping up while surfing on here.

Mozilla firefox + Adblock plus + noscripts (ABP and noscripts are both firefox addons you can get at firefox.com)
Also run the malawarebytes anti-malware program.
