I wish I had something to trade, but am new to CDing. I just received my first diaper today, as a matter of fact! I could pay you for it, but must discuss with the husband first. I'll try to PM you later regarding it. Do you know the model off hand?

It bothered me too. It sounded like a threat and that's just not cool, kwim?

If I have stuff on FSOT that doesn't get bites, I lower my price or add that I am willing to take offers. There's no sense in throwing items away that another mama or baby could be using. I'd rather take a loss than have stuff go to waste. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...

Just my !

I've never seen that, but that is pretty ridiculous and malicious, imo.

Re: What do you think of mamas who...

Yeah i've seen that myself quite a bit lately...

I almost think its a partial guilt trip... "oh buy this or i'll toss it.."

You know what...you want to toss it that badly, toss it! ...
But with that said, if no one wants to buy your dipe, maybe lower the price, put it up on FFS, Miracle Diapers, Freecycle, Goodwilld, Craigslist..

Im sure if you really look around, you can find someone who will appreciate it, not just for the brand, but for the fact that someone is willing to take a loss, and help someone in need...

I mean lets face it, sometimes people can't afford the really high end of diapers, and its a nice gesture to let someone have it for either FFS, or just, you know cheap?

Im doing this myself right now, I have a big plastic envelope full of dipes im sending out to a friend - she's just starting out cding and i'd like to help...

Its a good gesture and besides if that person goes full time cd'ing, they pass them on to someone else, its a great cycle!

As a WAHM it gets my goat too. If I knitted something and someone tried to resell it, got upset that it didn't sell and then trashed it.. I'd be so mad and hurt. I know once I sell something a person can do whatever they want with it. I'd not want to sell to them again though, I can tell you that much.

I'm not normally this "mouthy" on the internet, but this tactic really irks me.

And ditto to what allye said! Sometimes its nice to just give something away. If its an item that means something to me I'd rather give it away then sell it cheap. Its all in the spirit of NFL, IMO. holy acronyms batman.

I don't get it either.

I have two huge boxes of stuff (clothes, baby and mama, and kitchen stuff) that I just can't bring myself to throw away, because I figure someone will want some of it ffs. I just haven't had the energy to go to the PO lately.

I've seen those posts too & I think its pretty rediculous (sp?) I really think its just a scare tactic/guilt trip to try & get someone to buy at the price they want. I personally would not buy at all from someone like that
