I think I need to strip my dipes

Do I just put them in the dishwasher and let it run a cycle until no more bubbles? Do I need to add anything? Will they melt? I have FB.

TIA,
Nikki

Re: I think I need to strip my dipes

I ran my dipes through until there were no bubbles. Don't add anything to it at all.

maybe someone else can tell you about FB's... but I wouldn't think they'd melt. Just position them so they have no chance of falling down onto the heater coils. I pulled my dipes out before the "drying cycle" and tossed them into the washer for a spin out before putting them in the dryer.

Good luck!

put them on the top rack only because the heat bar will melt the snaps if they touch, and when you use the dw the dipes move and kinda sink so the bottom rack is not recommended
make sure you dont have jet dry in the machine neither

I am going to do it now. I am so scared, because I haven't done it before and I spent a lot of money on these. How often should they be stripped? What about boiling them, would that bring out the bubbles too?

don't boil anything with snaps. That hot of water will not only warp the snaps, possibly melting them, but it'll also warp the fabric around the snap and make them loose. But yes... that'll bring out bubbles too. Do that for inserts, wipes, doublers, boosters... stuff that typically doesn't have snaps. (It also takes alot longer too)

as to how often they need to be stripped... that's based on how much they really need it. If you have hard water, you'll have to strip them more often. If not, then not as much. For me, I go on when they start to smell not so fresh after having been washed.

They are starting to leak. So I figured now is a good time? Could they leak from build up?

yes you can get repelling issues and leaking when they have build up on them, they need stripping and will work better again
